
1) School Activities
1. No Chinese class on the following dates for spring break:
Monday heritage online class: 4/21
Friday heritage online class: 4/18
Friday in-person class at Rancho/Sinnott: 4/18
2. Hundred Phrase Evaluation for the spring term : 4/11, 4/25, 5/2
The test date for your child will be announced by the teacher in the 3/7 cover page. Please help your
child review his or her phrases as early as possible. The test dates are 4/11, 4/25 and 5/2.
3. CFL 1(Chinese as a Foreign Language) Open House on 3/14 at Rancho Middle School room #27
The CFL program is specialized for students ages 6 and up whose families do not speak Mandarin
at home. Please join us for our Open House on 3/14 at 7:00pm in Rancho Middle room #27, and
pass the information to family and friends who may be interested. For the families near the South
Bay, you may attend the CFL information session on 3/15 at 9:30am at Saratoga High School in
room #503.
2) 2025-2026 Student Registration
1. On 3/7 each class will receive a specific link via email to register for the 2025-2026 school year.
Continuing students are encouraged to submit their registration by 3/16. Tuition payment can be
made either by check or PayPal. Siblings of continuing students are also welcome to register by
3/16. To register a sibling for the first time, please email us at mlccnews@mandarinschool.org
Please note that no space will be reserved for continuing students or their siblings after 3/16.
2. Registration for new or transfer students will begin on 4/5. Registration forms will be available
online after 4/5. Please visit our school website at https://mandarinschool.org
3). Campus Safety
To ensure campus safety on Friday nights and prevent unauthorized visitors, all gates will be locked
about ten minutes after class begins. A parent patrol volunteer will be stationed at the central
parking lot entrance. Anyone arriving after 7:00 pm will need to check in with the parent on duty
and provide their child’s name and class. We have also arranged two security guards to patrol the
campus from 6:45 to 9:15pm. Please make sure to leave the campus and parking lot promptly after
class ends at 9:00 pm and to clear the area by 9:15pm. Thank you for your cooperation.
4). ANCCS Academic Contest on 3/30
School preliminary was held in February, and 17 MLCC students will participate in the 2025
ANCCS Academic Contest at Lynbrook High School in San Jose on 3/30. Good luck to them in
their upcoming competition!
5). Community News:
Chinese Health Initiative at El Camino Health is offering a free webinar “Building Adaptability and
Resilience with Insights from “I Ching” on Mar.22, 2025 at 6pm. The webinar will be conducted in
