3. Safety Concern
1. To prevent injury, please remind your child there is no running in the hallways at any time.
2. Please slow down when driving in the parking lot during student pick-up and drop-off.
Please be mindful of other motorists and do not block traffic.
3. To protect the image rights of both teacher and students, please be sure to obtain the
teacher’s permission before filming in the classroom.
4. We kindly request that room parents refrain from chatting or scrolling on their phones
while on duty. Thank you for your cooperation.

3. Currently there is still space available in our PK, K, CFLK and CFL1 classes. Our PK
classes take children ages four and up, and K is for students aged 5 and up. CFLK is for 5
year-olds from non-Mandarin speaking families, and CFL1 takes students ages 6-10. Please
help pass the information on to your friends and coworkers who might be interested, and we

4. Ap Chinese Test Prep will start on 10/9. This online prep class is designed for students
who plan to take Chinese AP Test next May. Currently there are still a few spots available.
5. MLCC Teacher Training Program is now taking applications. Our 5-month training
program consists of language teaching pedagogy. classroom observation, and student
teaching, and the program fee is $500. Participants will participate in the observation forum,
submit observation report and develop lesson plans. Priority will be given to candidates who
have experience in teaching, or major in Chinese or foreign languages. Please email your

5. Scout Troop 418 is currently recruiting new members
Scout Troop 418 is now recruiting new members in the South Fremont, Milpitas and North
San Jose areas. We welcome youngsters ages 11-18 to apply.

6. El Camino Health Webinars on Emotional Well-Being
Chinese Health Initiative at El Camino Health will offer a webinar on 9/19 at 4pm “How
To Help a Friend or Loved One Access Behavioral Health Care”. The webinar is free of
charge and conducted in both Mandarin and English via Zoom.
